Abstract
This paper reports on an effectiveness evaluation conducted on a postgraduate course that was delivered totally online. The purpose of the evaluation was to determine whether the course was effective in terms of facilitating student learning, and to gain insight into how the course could be improved for subsequent offerings. The purpose of this paper is to provide an example of how an effectiveness evaluation can be conducted in order to guide practitioners in evaluating online learning environments. The evaluation design is explained and the findings of the evaluation are presented.
