Summary

A leaflet titled "It's the little bit of bush that counts" is available from the Conservation Council of Western Australia. It deals with preserving native bushland on wheatbelt farms and includes statistics from the Voluntary Native Vegetation Retention Project. A report from this project was produced in October last year titled, Management of Native Vegetation on Farmland in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia. The project's objectives included the drafting of recommendations on measures which Local, State and Federal Government bodies and community groups can encourage the retention, maintenance, regeneration and replanting of native vegetation on privately owned land in the wheatbelt region.
