WISALTS column

(1988) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 21 April 1988. p. 6 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Broad statements of conserving the environment have been made in the World Conservation Strategy (1980), the National Conservation Strategy for Australia (1984) and the State Conservation Strategy for Western Australia (1987). The Environmental Protection Authority has begun the production of a series of reports to refine these broad statements and provide a basis for land resource planning in a sound environmental management framework consistent with the world strategies. The first report has been launched in Bunbury, Albany and Denmark, and covers the South Coast estuaries and their catchments.
