At the annual general meeting held last week, WISALTS committee members Rod Nicholson, Rod Sawyer and Geoff Reynolds, were re-elected for 1987-89. Jim Sorgiovanni and Kevin Harrison were elected to replace resigning committee members Terry Enright and Ian Gilmour. Pam McGregor was re-elected president for 1987-88, senior vice-President Mostyn Franklin and junior vice-President were re-elected to these positions for 1987-88. Brian Baxter was elected chairman of the Consultants Committee, Peter Woodward was elected vice-chairman and Ian Gilmour became secretary. The annual general meeting was opened by Western Australia Farmers' Federation research economist James Ferguson, who gave the members and guests a comprehensive run-down on the Federal Budget and how it affects the farmer.
