(1987) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 30 April 1987. p. 6 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
In August 1984. farmers from the high rainfall area around Denbarker chose a research site for WISALTS on the property of the Erskine family. Initial surveying, planning and installation of the interceptor bank system happened in February 1985 with some 'fine-tuning' occurring in autumn of 1986. Additional 'fine-tuning' on five throughflows was completed earlier this month. On site were Harry Whittington, assistant consultant Jim McGregor, committee member Terry Enright and farmers Jim and Lex Erskine. The annual open day on the trial site will be held in the Spring and those attending will be able to see what results 'fine-tuning' can or can't give!
