WISALTS column
(1986) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 15 May 1986. p. 7 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
The WISALTS State Committee meets about eight times each year, usually at about six week intervals, but these vary with the season, with longer gaps at the busy seedtime and harvest periods. WISALTS also has a state consultants committee whose areas of responsibility include checking consultant's plans, inspections of work, issuing of consultant's licences, compilation and dissemination of technical information to consultants, dozer drivers and members. The consultants committee works with the main committee on issues such as farmer education school, charges and responsibilities and research recommendations. These two committees meet separately, but the minutes of each go to the members of the other committee so both are kept up to date with what the other is doing.
