Review of the Western Australian Department of Agriculture's Journal of Agriculture, Volume 26, No. 4 (1985). The issue includes articles by Graeme Robertson, Commissioner of Soil Conservation; R.A. Nulsen, principal research officer; P.R. George and D.J. McFarlane research officers from the salinity and hydrology research branch; K.S. Cole, senior adviser, irrigation and water resources branch; T.R. Negus, officer in charge, Narrogin; W.J. Burdass, officer in charge, Katanning; J.P. MIddlemas, adviser, Bunbury; and J.W. Cox, postgraduate research students, Geology Department at the University of Western Australia. The article contributed by Dr Robertson discusses drainage and the law, and is an expansion on the letter that he sent to WISALTS and is mentioned in the 23 January 1986 column. The journal deals with department initiatives and most of the department research. It does not mention other methods used in drainage in detail, only a brief mention is made of interceptor banks.
