The National Tree Care Award and its aim to recognise the entrant who submits the most outstanding plan for making effective use of trees and associated vegetation. The competition attracted 260 entries last year from all over Australia and the winning entry was shown on ABC"s Countrywide last October. Arrangements are currently in hand for the 1986 National Tree Care Awards. Farm plans are a very important tool in the management of a property and you'll need an overall farm plan if you intend to clear some land. The Department of Agriculture is willing to help farmers draw up their farm plan. A course in farm planning is about to be trialled in the south of state where some farmers within the Denbarker Soil Conservation District are attending 7 weekly sessions designed to help with the farmers long term farm plans.
