WISALTS column

(1986) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 9 January 1986. p. 10 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

WISALTS are presently finalising arrangements for the farmers/consultants schools to be held next month. Based in the Kellerberrin area, the schools are each of four days duration, with a four day gap between, in case you would like to attend both schools! The first one, from Monday 17 February to Thursday 21 February will be aimed at people who know little or nothing of the Interceptor Bank System (or for those who want to refresh their knowledge). This second session is aimed also at experienced consultants, dozer drivers and others who may previously attended a school run by WISALTS and want to update their knowledge and learn the new methods and techniques now being employed. Co-ordinator and chief tutor at the schools is Mac Forsyth, who will be assisted by Harry Whittington, Laurie Adamson, Peter Kerin and Lyndon and Neil Henning. It has been two years since the last WISALTS school was held (for beginners). In that time techniques have been improved, in surveying as well as in building banks and either school will be well worth attending.
