WISALTS column
(1987) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 31 December 1987. p. 10 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
The quest of excellence is very much part of WISALTS, particularly in the field. The next 'up-to-date' day for consultants is to be held in the Dinninup area on Friday 12 February next year. It is also, however, most important for members and other farmers who may become members, to have some understanding of the system. It is helpful when a consultant comes onto your farm, if you, the farmer, have the basic knowledge about the aim of the interceptor bank system. WISALTS will run a "Farmer Orientated Information Two Day Course" On Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 February 1988 in the Dinninup area. The programme is designed to increase awareness in farmers of the signs of degradation which may be occurring on farms and to explain what the Interceptor Banks can do to alleviate these problems.
