Summary

A WISALTS school will be held for farmers and people who wish to cover the basic principles of site evaluation bank construction, soil fertility, tree establishment and the principles and functions of the WISALTS group. First segment Monday 17th February to Thursday 20th February 1986 covers farmer awareness and basic WISALTS principles. The second segment from Tuesday 25th to Friday 28th February 1986 mainly catering for consultant/operators. The main aim of the first week will be to include as many people working in the field as possible, to explain changes in bank construction techniques and the use of plastic, evaluation of existing work and repair technique waterlogging and soil fertility. Bank construction and dozer driver instruction will be conducted by Neil Henning. The school will be based in Kellerberrin with Mac Forsyth as co-ordinator, other speakers will include Harry Whittington, Laurie Adamson, Peter Kerin and Lyndon Henning.
