Water concerns scientist

Harris, A. (1986) Water concerns scientist. The West Australian, 4 October 1986. p. 26 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

CSIRO scientist Ray Perry has concerns over Western Australia's biggest natural resource problem of salinity. Speaking at his retirement as Chief of the Division of Groundwater Research, Mr Perry said that though salinity had mad serious inroads into the state's land and water resources, the outlook had improved greatly as scientists began to understand and slow its spread. He also said that his division was about to amalgamate with parts of two other CSIRO divisions in the Eastern States to form a new Division of Water Resources Research.
