Keeping up with a growing problem

Bunny, P. (1985) Keeping up with a growing problem. The West Australian, 16 February 1985. p. 48 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Country Special section 'Countryside with Pat Bunny', sharing the view that the farming philosophy of "get big or get out" means expanding to survive. Trying to beat the rising farm costs, which have been rising faster that the profits, her family bought and leased more hectares to run sheep. More hectares mean more double the work and double the costs, but this time next year the money should pour in at twice the rate - double the wool cheque, double the sale sheep cheque, double the grain income - hopefully keeping ahead of the extra expenses.
