WISALTS column

(1985) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 21 March 1985. p. 7 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

WISALTS column discussing the Mount Barker Machinery Field Day to be held on Wednesday 27 March. The WISALTS stand will display photographs of the research site in the higher rainfall areas on the Denbarker property of Mr and Mrs James Erskine and family. The collection of the Erskine's photographs commence with a very heavy hay crop being bailed and carted home in 1971, with more recent photographs showing the fairly dramatic loss in production. The Erskine's response was to install some interceptor banks on the property in 1980 with heartening results now to be seen.
