We need trees in our environment, whether they are for shade, shelter, salinity control, aesthetic purposes, erosion prevention. Alcoa is providing trees for use in community projects, and department nurseries sell thousands of trees each year for large scale farm plantings. The article suggests looking at the trees already growing in your area, looking for signs of a healthy tree.
