WISALTS column discusses the second of the three soil project sheets titled, "Preventing Soil Erosion". The project sheet uses varied photographs to illustrate answers to erosion problems caused by mining, forestry, agriculture, urban development and coastal use. Suggestions of land uses for different land types from steep to gentle slopes, flat and urban are included, with soil conservation and aims to ensure stable soils.
