WISALTS column

(1984) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 19 January 1984. p. 30 [Publication] [Special Collections]

A farmers school will be held in the Kellerberrin area from Monday 20 February to Friday 24 February. The five day course will cover recognition of the early stages of land degradation - the change in colour and density of the tree canopy, the change in colour and depleted seed heads of barley grass, crusting along creek banks, pools appearing in old creek lines and decreasing crop production. Farmers attending the school will have a better understanding of the environment and be able to look at their own properties from a different viewpoint. WISALTS will be organising field days, which are open to the public.
