Summary

A seminar, Hydrology and the Effects of Waterlogging on Cereal Production, is to be held at the Kings Hotel on Friday 30 March. The guest speaker will be American hydrologist, E.J. (Red) Doering from North Dakota. Mr Doering is visiting Western Australia at the invitation of WISALTS and his trip is sponsored in part by Co-operative Bulk Handling. He will travel to various parts of the state, over the two week visit, and will meet with most of the WISALTS surveyors and other professional people concerned with the study of water and its effects in our soils. Mr Doering holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering and is presently supervisory agricultural engineer in the Agricultural Research Service of the United States Department of Agriculture.
