Confusion over crop oils

(1984) Confusion over crop oils. Elders Weekly, 5 April 1984. p. 118 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

There is some confusion among some farmers and oil distributors over the use of crop oils with herbicides for broadacre spraying, according to Rick Madin, a weed agronomy research officer with the Department of Agriculture. Crop oils are used as a carrier for pesticide especially with low volume spraying such as with CDA, as an anti-evaporant, and to aid the entry of the chemical to the plant.
