Summary
A 13 page report from Eugene (Red) Doering, a noted hydrologist from the United States Department of Agriculture research service was released this week by WISALTS state president, Lex Hardie. The report contains details from his visit to Western Australia in April 1984 and outlines Mr Doering's concerns about the encroachment of waterlogging onto agricultural land, about declining livestock carrying capacities and crop yields affected by the waterlogging and his recommendations to remedy these issues.
