Salinity survey to set 2020 target

(2008) Salinity survey to set 2020 target. The Countryman, 7 August 2008. [Publication] [Special Collections]

Farmers in the South West are being asked to provide their views on the future management of salinity through an online survey being undertaken by the Department of Agriculture and Food. Farmers in the Darkan, Boyup Brook, Kojonup, Williams, Narrogin, Katanning, Wagin and Dumbleyung areas are the targets for the survey managed by GHD Pty Ltd for the department. Leon van Wyk, Department of Agriculture natural resource management development officer, said that farmers would be able to contribute by giving their views on salinity and where it was heading. Information will be used with existing data to set a salinity target for the region.
