British botanist David Bellamy visited Western Australia, to film a documentary on the spread of salinity. Professor Bellamy said that he has found renewed hope with farming techniques and attitudes being re-shaped to fight salinity. He is a candidate for the single-issue Referendum Party in the next British election.

This article contains two images: Professor David Bellamy with Madison Davey of Wongan Hills; and Professor David Bellamy at a salt-affected dam near Dowerin.
