Summary

The State Government is looking for submissions from community groups seeking funding for educational activities for the prevention and control of salinity. Grants are available for the 1985/86 financial year. The Minister for Planning and Environment, Evan Walker said that the Government regards salinity as the most serious environmental and economic threat to Victorian land agriculture. The grants will be made available to groups with the ability to successfully carry out salinity education projects.
