Is your expert worth his salt?

Hardie, A.J. (1984) Is your expert worth his salt? The Express, 6 October 1984. p. 2 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Letter to the editor feature contributed by A.J. Hardie, President of WISALTS.
In response to a recent article, dated Thursday, September 20, 1984, Mr. Hardie congratulates Mr. Steve West on entering private enterprise as a Soil Consultant.
Mr. Hardie says that one of the obvious inadequacies in the rural industry is the lack of expertise in the salinity control program.
Mr. Hardie suggests further if Mr. West can produce the results in the field over the next ten years, he is assured of continued consultancy work and a healthy economic future.
Mr. Hardie says that Mr. West's decision to slate the WISALTS system can only be recognised as a publicity seeking stunt and that Mr. West choosing to challenge WISALTS signifies that he recognises the WISALTS performance as a threat to his future.
