Summary

Article discusses the Australian-manufactured geotextile Polyweave R has played an important role in the construction of a new runway as part of the Brisbane Airport extensions.
The airport site is a mangrove and salt-marsh plain which is prone to flooding.
Sand has been pumped from nearby Moreton Bay to build up the site for the runway construction.

This article contains a view of boggy conditions in which the Polyweave was laid at the airport.
