Farmers unwise to keep changing production

(1974) Farmers unwise to keep changing production. Farmers Weekly, 10 October 1974. [Publication] [Special Collections]

Article explains Mr. H.S. Whittington addressing the general executive of the Farmer's Union coarse grains section saying that one of the mistakes of the Australian farmer in the past 10 or 12 years has been to change from the production of one commodity to another as the markets changed.
Presenting a submission on production curbs, Mr. Whittington said Australia was one of the few countries able to meet its own food requirements and produce a surplus for exports to a world that faced a shortage of food.
