Collie seeks salt action

(1978) Collie seeks salt action. Western Farmer and Grazier, 30 November 1978. p. 7 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Article discusses farmers in the Collie region calling for the extension of interceptor banks experiments for the control of salinity in the Batalling Creek area between Collie and Darkan, and also calling for local representation in decisions on clearing and rehabilitation in the Wellington catchment area.
A recent meeting held by the Wellington district committee of the Pastoralists and Graziers Association broke into heated crossfire between local supporters of the Whittington interceptor bank system and Agriculture Department scientist Clive Malcolm.
