Summary

Two-page article discusses the concern about the deterioration of the quality of water in the Wellington Dam which has prompted the Department of Agriculture to carry out some trials in the irrigation areas.
The trials and work is being done by Dennis Gillespie of the Plant Research Division and Ross George of the Resource Management Division.
The Public Works Department and Department of Agriculture are working together in providing financial assistance for these trials, the first of which is on the Benger property of Gordon Robinson,
The article explains further the trial details and results of the findings.
