(1978) Salt land problems identified. The Farmers Weekly, 2 November 1978. p. 4 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

Introducing the Western Australian Department of Agriculture's publication titled, "Salt Land and What to do about it".
The book is designed to give farmer and students an understanding of the nature and cause of salt land in Western Australia.
This will be the basic text for a series of salt land schools to be held by the department in an expanded salt land extension campaign.
The book traces the development of salt land content from the original salt content of rock and virgin soil in the landscape through to the eventual appearance of salt at the soil surface.

This article contains seven drawn images showing water and salt movement from the book "Salt Land and What to do about it".
