Field day concern

Metcalf, E.A. (1979) Field day concern. Western Farmer and Grazier, 15 March 1979. [Publication] [Special Collections]

Letter from Ellis A. Metcalf to express concerns regarding the lack of consideration shown by the Department of Agriculture in arranging a field day on Dan Keast's property at Dangin on March 22.
The date of March 22 is one of the most important days for AGRO '79 to which many farmers are committed.
A great number of farmers who would be interested in the comparative methods of salt land control as advocated by the Department of Agriculture and Mr. Whittington and WISALTS, would be planning to attend a field day when the long-awaited trials commenced.
Ellis Metcalf concludes by asking if the planning was deliberate and an explanation is required.
