Letter to the editor - Manager gives some facts

Walder, G.F. (1978) Letter to the editor - Manager gives some facts. The Countryman, 12 August 1978. p. 12 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Letter to the editor by G.F. Walder, Brookton, Western Australia.

A response to letters previously published in The Countryman, written by G.W. Spencer and T. Negus and comments made on television by C.V. Malcolm about Harry Whittington's work. Mr Walder is Mr Whittington's farm manager and states that he is in the best position to know and obtain relevant information and important facts about Mr Whittington's use of interceptor banks in saltland reclamation, giving a timeline of work undertaken on the "Springhill" property from 1946 to 1953. Mr Whittington worked under advisement of the Agriculture Department and others but ultimately put his own plans into effect and installed interceptor banks with great success.
