Holmes report

(1979) Holmes report. Western Farmer and Grazier, 1979. p. 4 [Publication] [Special Collections]

An editorial discussing the Public Works Department and the Agriculture Department having strange ideas about what is happening to Western Australia's farmland. The examination of the Batalling Creek trial of Whittington interceptor drains by South Australian Professor Holmes draws on the conclusions of others for its basis and concludes with a pat on the back for engineers, scientists, soil physicists and agriculturalists. It is the Public Works Department's fault that Professor Holmes was called on to make such a report after only a three day visit to Western Australia.
