Letters feature regarding the article which appeared July 4th, 1979 , titled "Results of Brookton man's U.G.S. water scheme interceptor and some explanation.
The press release from the Minister for Works and Water Supplies Hon. G.C. MacKinnon, of the conclusions in the summary of the report appears to justify the actions of the Western Australian State Government in implementing the Land Clearing Bans in 1978.
Mr. Whittington states that no one can draw conclusions from any test which has only one year's data and has no relative data to compare figures with.
The work at Batalling Creek is not a trial but it is a pilot test to establish whether a water harvesting technique can effectively control the quantity of salt entering the Wellington Weir.
