Farmers at school

Richards, L. (1981) Farmers at school. The Countryman, April 1981. [Publication] [Special Collections]

A WISALTS school was recently held at Brookton. Thirty seven people took part in the event, which commenced at Harry Whittington's 'Springhill' property with blackboard lectures held in his shearing shed and inspection of paddock with interceptor banks installed. Other properties including Terry Wilkinson's property at Kweda were also visited to examine land which had gone to salt. Class members viewed demonstrations of interceptor banks construction, learning of the planning, surveying and testing required for this process.
