Summary

Perillup farmer Bert Henderson was found guilty in the Albany Court of Petty Sessions of unlicensed land clearing. The case has been adjourned to the Beaufort Street Court on 22 April 1980 to determine the penalty and reafforestation settlement. The prosecution's case rested on evidence by Public Works Department district officer, Robert Silliphant and another officer who visited Mr Henderson's property on 18 July 1979 and had seen a large area of clearing contravening the Country Areas Water Supply Act.
