(1981) Callide Valley salting problem. The Queensland Graingrower, 25 November 1981. p. 52 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Keith Hughes of the Department of Primary Industry Development, Planning Branch, Brisbane made an evaluation of the Callide Valley catchment potential following a recent survey of salinity problems in the Dawson-Callide area. Mr Hughes said that although a salinity problem existed in the Dawson-Callide, the Callide catchment was more affected, salting had followed clearing of areas which had shallow, poor quality groundwater and poor drainage.
