Letter to the editor - Peel inlet algae

Eastcott, A.J. (1982) Letter to the editor - Peel inlet algae. The West Australian, 6 February 1982. p. 6 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Letter to the editor by A.J. Eastcott, 'Koonarup', Wagerup, Western Australia.

In the continuing saga of the algae in the Peel Inlet, farmers are irate at becoming scapegoats for the suggestion that they are responsible for suspect runoff. Department of Agriculture guidelines have been followed and most of the farmers have healthy productive farms. In comparison, the Leschenault Inlet at Australind has never been cleaner, so surely this warrants a study as it is a similar system to the Peel Inlet.
