Govt's head in soil, says Lab.

(1981) Govt's head in soil, says Lab. The West Australian, 16 October 1981. p. 33 [Publication] [Special Collections]

Summary

The Federal Government's natural resource management could only be described as dismal with their 'ostrich-like" approach to deteriorating soils and water quality jeopardising sustained primary production. These comments were made by Labor's primary industry spokesman Mr Kerin while introducing an urgency debate in Parliament on the Government's failings to accept its national responsibility and be involved in Australia's soil-conservation programmes and in the prevention of further land degradation.
