The Premier, Sir Charles Court has welcomed the joint Western Farmer and Grazier and Chamberlain John Deere Fight Against Salt competition. Sir Charles said that the idea of the contest was excellent and the prize, a CJD chisel plough valued at $6,000, was most generous.
