Summary

The latest technique for planting saltland with useful forage shrubs will be demonstrated at properties at Wyola, Gutha, Maya and Wongan Hills in the next few weeks. The Mallen Niche Seeder, is a patented invention developed by Western Australia Agriculture Department research officer Clive Malcolm. It is a combined ridger, seeder and mulcher and carries out in one operation all the processes needed in planting seed of salt-tolerant plants.
