$14,000 well spent on banks
Piggott, M. (1981) $14,000 well spent on banks. Western Farmer and Grazier, 28 May 1981. p. 32 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Bert Henderson claimed this week that interceptor banks have improved stock water quality on his Perillup property. Mr Henderson said that dam water in low-lying salt-encroached flats had become foul-smelling and banks constructed 15 months ago had sweetened the water. The 15 kilometres of banks constructed in 1980 had cost $14,000 and are part of the farmland rehabilitation programme.
