Committee on salinity appointed

The Western Australian government has announced the members and terms of reference of a committee to advise it on protection of agricultural lands from salinity and other degradation. The committee are to advise a Cabinet subcommittee on management policies and legislative arrangements for salinity and soil-erosion control, funding requirements of their proposals and the investigation of procedures farmers currently use to combat salinity and erosion.
