The Research Co-ordinating Committee set up by the State Government in 1979 to co-ordinate various aspects of research on salinity will extend its activities into land salinity. Premier Ray O'Connor said the government was acutely aware of the problem of land salinity in the State's agricultural area and an expanded research programme will compliment the committee's effort.
