Summary
A proposal by Jack Edey to tap the salt basin under a large part of the Murray River and transfer the saline water to the sea by way of a channel. Mr Edey proposes that tube wells installed at 20 kilometre intervals with saline water pumped to the surface by highly efficient wind mills, allowing the water to be delivered to the sea through concrete, polythene lined channels.
