Knowledge risk
(1982) Knowledge risk. The West Australian, 6 November 1982. p. 6 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
An editorial about democracy and the basis of the system when we perceive progress is hampered by seemingly interminable clashes of opinion and interest. We prefer to to put up with imperfections rather than see one group ride roughshod over the rest. Sir Mark Oliphant, one of Australia's most outstanding scientists, warned that the individuality of people and nations was under threat by the misuse of knowledge in the relentless seeking of money and power.
