Busher, M. (1982) Whittington to head new farm land body. The Countryman, 10 June 1982. p. 3 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
The establishment of the Land Management Society was formalised with Harry Whittington heading up the interim executive committee. The society will bring together all interested parties to work for the preservation and restoration of Western Australia's farm land. Discussions as to the possible role and value of forming a land management committee began late last year with members of the working party reporting widespread support for the concept of bringing specialists and farmers together in one broadly based society.
