WISALTS column
(1983) WISALTS column. Elders Weekly, 29 September 1983. p. 36 [Publication] [Special Collections]
Summary
Discusses the Whittington Interceptor Banks system and some comments from people on seeing the banks for the first time. There is no doubt that the banks do scar the landscape and take up some room in the paddocks, however the banks do have advantages beyond their primary purpose, assisting in the control of the water, providing shelter for stock in paddocks which is particularly important in cold and windy conditions. The Perenjori branch of WISALTS is holding a field day on 5 October 1983 beginning at the Perenjori Sportsclub car park.
