Summary
The Land Management Society was formed on 6 September 1983, nearly three years after Shackleton farmer Jim Shepherd conceived the idea. It is an historic moment in Western Australia's agricultural history with the formation of a society to protect and monitor our farmer's most valuable resource - the land, with Harry Whittington being appointed as inaugural president.
