Summary
Discusses a report by R.R. Pennefather, Principal Research Officer for the CSIRO, printed in the Western Mail on 12 July 1951. The report states that 'Consideration should be given to successful attacks made on salinity problems in various parts of the world, which have shown that the basic requirement is a vigorous programme properly co-ordinating the work of several organisations, and supplied with adequate finance.'
