Summary
Discusses a program to investigate the erodibility of the sand soils found in large areas of the Northern and Western Downs. Rob Loch, a soil conservationist from the Queensland Wheat Research Institute said Australia had never had a great deal of information about the way its soils behaved under rainfall and runoff and it's the sort of information they are now trying to gather to build up a picture of soil behaviour.
